Framework for Understanding Bridges Out of Poverty

Attend the  Framework for Understanding Bridges Out of Poverty workshop.  This half day session will help people understand and learn how to work with individuals from poverty.  Participants will learn how poverty and the culture of poverty can affect behaviors, achievements or failures, and the environment that we live in.  Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be prepared for Bridges out of Poverty, a one day conference that will also be offered (date yet to be determined).  Topics in this all day workshop will include increasing awareness of the differences in economic cultures and how to develop an action plan to   improve services.  This workshop is designed for educators, health care and social service providers, employers, community    organizations, law enforcement and others that work with families in poverty.
Both workshops will be taught by Bridges Certified Trainer Cindy Pic.  Cynthia is currently the Community Services Director for Tri-Valley Opportunity Council of Crookston, MN.  In this role she oversees the Community Assistance Programs (Emergency      Services, Fuel Assistance, etc.), Child Care Resource & Referral, 211 NW and Transportation.  Cynthia holds a BS in Business from the University of North Dakota and has been employed by Tri-Valley, working in the human services field for the past 18 years.
