Community Investment
United Way of Otter Tail County magnifies and multiplies the impact of your contribution, making your caring count. We invest your gifts in local programs addressing high priority needs and then review and monitor these programs for results. This guarantees that you receive a generous return on your investment.
The mission of Community Investment is to operate an effective and systematic volunteer process for allocating funds raised in the annual United Way campaign.
The Community Investment committee oversees the annual investment process through which United Way funds are invested in programs that provide solutions for identified needs in the community. Community Investment Panels review applications for funding submitted by program providers by studying program and budget information. Programs will also present their need before a panel. The committee then brings the panel recommendations together in a cohesive, consistent manner and presents them to the United Way Board of Directors for approval.
The strength of United Way starts with its volunteers; they bring together the professional expertise, experience and knowledge to help United Way make sure your contribution is well spent.
We invite you to learn about our Program Providers, and their Programs which are currently being funded by the United Way of Otter Tail County.
